Careers

All Units in the curriculum explore careers in one way or another. 

The following specific assignments include career exploration:

Energy Career Bellringers - a bellringer with nine jobs in the slide show, along with a template for more jobs and a slide for extension ideas

Hydroelectricity Careers Assignment - requires students select a career from a provided list and create a slide with information from a template

Hydroelectric Dam Role Playing (Teacher Guild) - students role play community members to discuss positive and negative impacts of a new dam from different viewpoints

Energy Source Data Sheet - students indicate jobs required for the energy source they are assigned to explore

Career Connections Presentation - students create their own career slide show of the careers they are introduced to during the unit

Electricity Lobby Worksheet - students role play as a lobbyist from one of six areas
